1. The service and operator
BuildMode Studio is a workspace for collecting references, arranging ideas, recording decisions and creating AI-assisted directions, blueprints and execution plans. Features and access may vary by account and plan.
The service is operated by Jerome Perera, based in Sri Lanka. Contact support@buildmodestudio.com. These terms govern use of BuildMode Studio; Paddle’s buyer terms govern purchases made through Paddle.
2. Accounts and beta access
You must be at least 18 and authorized to use the service and submit the material you provide. If you act for an organization, you must have its authority. Access remains subject to invitations, account restrictions and applicable law.
Clerk provides authentication. Keep your account secure, do not share sessions or bypass ownership checks, and report suspected unauthorized access without sending passwords or secret keys.
Beta features can change, contain errors or become unavailable. Keep independent copies of important work; the service is not your only archive. Sign-out or deletion of a sign-in account does not by itself erase workspace content or cancel a paid subscription.
3. Paid plans and checkout
Explore is free. The monthly Build plan is US$19 and Launch is US$29 at the current published base prices. Applicable taxes, currency, the actual total and recurring terms are shown at checkout. Only offers enabled for your account can be purchased; a published price does not guarantee that checkout is available to every account.
Paddle is the merchant of record for Paddle purchases and handles the payment transaction, receipts and applicable tax collection. Review the checkout and Paddle buyer terms before paying. Do not send card details to BuildMode support.
Subscriptions renew each billing period unless canceled. One-off AI credit packs, where offered at checkout, are separate purchases and do not renew automatically. Do not assume that annual billing, storage add-ons or other catalog options are available unless actually offered to you.
Paid access and credits are added after the server verifies payment, not merely because a checkout success page appears. If a payment appears successful but access is missing, contact support with the receipt or transaction reference and do not make repeated replacement purchases.
4. Cancellation, changes and refunds
You can cancel a subscription through the management link in your Paddle confirmation email or Paddle buyer support at paddle.net. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current billing period and prevents subsequent renewals. An available in-app cancellation control may also offer an immediate option; review its confirmation before choosing it.
For an available plan change, review the displayed amount and timing before confirming. An upgrade may incur an immediate prorated charge; access changes follow verified payment. A downgrade can change plan limits now while the lower recurring price applies at renewal. Previously granted unexpired credits retain their existing expiry.
Cancellation and refund requests are distinct. The linked Refund Policy explains how to request a refund from Paddle and how mandatory rights are preserved. No separate BuildMode money-back guarantee or automatic prorated cash refund is promised.
5. AI credits and capacity
AI credits are usage allowances within BuildMode Studio, not a payment wallet. The account’s credit view can show available credits, reserved or pending usage, and settled usage. A reservation can temporarily reduce availability while a request completes or is reconciled; the balance can change after settlement or recovery.
Monthly credit grants expire at the end of their stated period. In the reviewed implementation, purchased credit grants have no scheduled expiry; any separate offer terms must be shown before purchase. Credits are not a promise of a fixed number of AI outputs: consumption depends on the operation and provider usage.
Plan limits and enforcement can vary by the active rollout. A displayed balance is not a promise of unlimited AI use or storage. Do not evade quotas or recovery checks. Verified refunds, reversals or disputed transactions may remove related access or unused credits, restrict further purchases or require review, subject to applicable rights.
6. Your content and permissions
You retain the rights you hold in the material you submit. Saving a reference or AI output does not grant rights in someone else’s work. You are responsible for permission or another valid basis to upload, process and use content.
You authorize BuildMode to store, copy, display and process your content as needed to provide the features you use, including supplying relevant context and images to an AI provider for your requested AI features. This does not transfer ownership to BuildMode or authorize advertising publication of private projects.
BuildMode’s branding, interface and software are separate from your content. Do not impersonate the service or claim rights to its software or branding.
7. AI features
Requested AI operations can send relevant project text, reference text, link metadata, directions, decisions and notes to Anthropic. Some operations send reference image bytes. Saved AI results and context snapshots can remain in project and operational records.
AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, non-unique or unsuitable. Review outputs before use. No accuracy, originality, exclusivity, intellectual-property clearance or professional legal, medical or financial advice is promised. Do not send content you lack authority to share, including unnecessary sensitive personal information.
8. Acceptable use and external services
Do not use BuildMode for unlawful activity, fraud, harassment, exploitation, infringement, malware or disclosure of information you lack authority to share. Do not access another account’s data, defeat authentication, abuse resources or evade payment, quota or safety controls.
Authentication, hosting, storage, payments and AI depend on external providers. Saved links, metadata retrieval and external previews can contact other websites. Their availability and terms are outside BuildMode’s control; the Privacy Policy explains the relevant data flows.
9. Availability and ending use
You may stop using the service, but cancel recurring billing separately. Use the available project and reference controls or submit a privacy request to ask about retained information. Complete account-wide erasure is not an automated feature.
Access may be restricted where reasonably necessary for security, unlawful activity, material misuse or legal requirements. Where appropriate and legally required, we will explain the action and provide a way to contact support. This does not remove mandatory rights, an existing refund right or a valid privacy request.
10. Mandatory rights and changes
Nothing in these terms excludes a right or liability that applicable law does not permit to be excluded. No contractual monetary liability cap or compulsory arbitration is introduced by these Terms. These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence apply and cannot legally be excluded. If a dispute arises, please contact support@buildmodestudio.com so we can attempt to resolve it informally. Nothing in these Terms limits your right to bring a claim before a court or other authority where applicable law gives you that right.
Material changes will be identified by a new policy version and communicated through the service or an appropriate account channel. Where renewed acceptance is required, the service will identify the current Terms version; prior acceptance records are retained. Contact support@buildmodestudio.com with questions.
